The SILENT VALLEY Expedition

When college days came to an end, we kick started more and more days,
that may never ever or however fade, for it is friendship that just can’t evade

Day: Thursday 14, June  2012

Place: Silent Valley National Park

Location: Mannarkkad, Palakkad, Kerala (India)

The Gang:
Ajmal (white & gray full sleeve checks)
Sangeeth
(red & white stripes)
Shafeer
( blue t-shirt)
Sreejith (t-shirt with a “R”)
Manoj
(the tallest guy)
Midhun (light rose stripes)
Nitheesh (green & white stripes)
Sujith
(dark blue & white checks)
me
(dark blue t-shirt & white specs)
Vipinlal
(dark blue & yellow collared t-shirt)
Viswajith
(a big guy in navy blue & white checks)

Highlights:
1. Silent blood sucking leech attacks
2. 300 meter watchtower’s breeze & a breathtaking view
3. Bumpy fun filled ride through the forest in a jeep
4. The 3 km adventurous trekking
5. Mountain Squirrel, Wild Monkeys, Deer, Wild Boar, Scorpion, Tiger ripped trees
5. Unexpected road trip for Sreejith & me
6. Ordinary bus travel & lunch in middle of the forest

Tip: Though rainy season pays attention to a heck lot of leech production out there but where is the fun if there’s nothing to keep us bothered, eh. Also we were told that the leeches take out our good for nothing blood from us without any pain too. Anyway I’ve to confess that we all had a great time more than the leeches or the entire wildlife nature there could have had all by themselves. Well so will you if you wish to pay a visit someday.

The Gates are now open to the Silent Valley National Park. So what are you waiting for, just enter to explore.

Here we go into it and all

The off roader, in silence roars

Hey! Care for a shot in the forest? – Part I

Hey! Care for a shot in the forest? – Part II

In front of a mesmerized scene

United with spirit at the watchtower- Part I

United with spirit at the watchtower- Part II

United with spirit at the watchtower- Part III

That’s a snap out of the watchtower window

Step by step, we join in yet again!

Beware! The dark tower stands along

This is one among many things that we came for

Look out!! That’s the hanging bridge

Gang stands still on the hanging bridge

The silent creak side reunion

The silent creak; part of Kuntipuzha

Up the hill, craving for more

It rained really hard just after we got out of Silent Valley. The hot tea and snacks were waiting outside for us before we got into the Ordinary (Bus service from KSRTC).  We all then bid adieu to one another and headed for our different destinations until the next expedition with even more thrills and spills to accompany.

So that’s how the SILENT VALLEY Expedition was carried on. Even more places and new faces, unexpected incidents, amazing sights, exquisite cuisine, adventurous rides and lots of interesting episodes to showcase awaits.

Thoughts

Sometimes,
to do,
to decide,
to stop,
& even to start,
we wait long,
and a little long,
till end comes by.
From now on,
